Two militants killed in Baramulla
Srinagar, Oct 25 : Two militants were killed on Thursday in a gunfight with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district, police said.
Acting on a specific tip about the presence of militants, security forces laid a cordon around Athoora village. When challenged, the hidden militants fired at the security forces, triggering a gunfight.
"Two militants were killed in the encounter. The identity and affiliation of the slain militants are being ascertained," a police officer said.
