Jennifer Lopez Tears Up as She Talks About Motherhood on �Today�

Jennifer Lopez was on Today to promote the return of her NBC cop drama, Shades of Blue. On the morning show, her conversation with Savannah Guthrie turned to motherhood. Lopez’s twins, Max and Emme, turned 9 in February, so she took to Instagram to celebrate their birthday. “Don’t make me cry!” she said when Guthrie brought up the twins’ birthday. “You know, they just made my life so much better. You know what I mean? So I’m forever grateful that; you know, I didn’t have kids until later. I almost thought that it wasn’t going to happen for me. I’m like, very aware that I was blessed with that and that it could have been something different, and so I don’t take it for granted for one day.”If there is anyone who would understand Lopez’s perspective, it’s Guthrie. Guthrie, 45, just recently returned to Today after giving birth to her son, Charles. “I can so relate to that,” she said.
