Over 76 Lakh People Benefit from Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan


New Delhi – More than 76 lakh women, children, and families have taken part in the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan since it began on September 17.


By September 20, over 2.83 lakh health camps were held across India. The camps screened 37 lakh people for hypertension, 35 lakh for diabetes, over 9 lakh women for breast cancer, and 4.7 lakh for cervical cancer. Oral cancer screening covered more than 16 lakh people.


Other services included 18 lakh antenatal check-ups, 51 lakh children vaccinated, 15 lakh anaemia screenings, and nutrition counselling for families. Camps also screened 22 lakh people for tuberculosis and 2.3 lakh for Sickle Cell Disease. Over 1.6 lakh blood donors registered, and 4.7 lakh new Ayushman/PM-JAY cards were issued.


Across India, central government institutes, medical colleges, and private organisations organised 3,410 camps, benefiting more than 5.8 lakh people. The campaign, running until October 2, aims to promote healthy women, strong families, and a resilient nation.
