Jindal Policy Conclave 2025 Focuses on Ideas for a Developed India

At the Jindal Policy Conclave in Sonipat, former Union Minister Manish Tewari said India must protect its democracy, maintain political stability, and reduce inequality to become a strong and influential nation by 2047, the 100th year of independence. He emphasized self-reliance, strategic autonomy, and unity in diversity as key to India’s future.

Professor Dabiru Sridhar Patnaik of Jindal Global University highlighted the role of public policy in shaping India’s development, stressing evidence-based, innovative, and ethical leadership. Professor R. Sudarshan added that public policy now plays a central role in tackling India’s complex challenges and guiding its growth.

The two-day conclave, themed “The Inception of Ideas for Viksit Bharat”, brings together policymakers, scholars, industry leaders, and students to discuss India’s future. Panels cover topics like electoral reforms, urban governance, climate and energy policy, and media regulation.

Key speakers included Justice U.U. Lalit, former Chief Justice of India, who spoke on the Directive Principles of State Policy, and Armstrong Pame from the Ministry of Education, who delivered the valedictory address on nation-building.

The conclave aims to foster dialogue, generate actionable ideas, and prepare India to take its place as a prosperous, inclusive, and globally influential nation.
