Kerala Nun Found Dead in Kollam Convent, Police Suspect Suicide
A 33-year-old nun was found dead at a convent in Kerala’s Kollam district on Monday evening. Police believe it to be a case of suicide after discovering a note in her room.
The nun, originally from Tamil Nadu, was found hanging in her room inside the convent. Other members rushed her to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared her dead on arrival.
Officers from Kollam East police station confirmed that a case of unnatural death has been registered. An inquest is now underway to examine the circumstances surrounding her death.
Police say the note found in her room points to suicide, but a detailed investigation will be carried out before confirming the cause.
