Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, saying that every decision he makes is focused on public welfare. Sharing a video on social media with the hashtag #MyModiStory, Mandaviya talked about his personal experience working with the PM, especially during his time as Minister of State for Road Transport.
Mandaviya recalled a moment that showed him Modi’s deep understanding of infrastructure and its real impact on people’s lives.
“In a meeting about national highways, Modi ji said something that really stayed with me,” Mandaviya said.
“He told us, roads aren’t just for transportation — they’re the lifeline of prosperity.”
He explained how PM Modi used a simple example to show how roads affect farmers directly.
“He said, if a farmer grows vegetables and there’s a road nearby, he can get his produce to the market quickly. But if the road is far, the delay could spoil his crop — especially for perishable items like fruits and vegetables.”
Mandaviya added that PM Modi believes roads near villages can transform lives. If the road is close, a farmer can reach the district market on time, get the right price, and avoid losses. But without good road access, even hard-working farmers can suffer huge setbacks.
“This focus on the real needs of people, especially those in rural areas, is what makes Modi ji’s leadership stand out,” Mandaviya said. “Every policy he brings is designed to help the common man.”
Born in Mehsana, Gujarat, Narendra Modi served as the state’s Chief Minister from 2001 to 2014, and is now in his third term as India’s Prime Minister.
Each year, the BJP celebrates his birthday, September 17, as 'Sewa Diwas', a day of service. This year, the party will begin a two-week 'Sewa Pakhwada' from September 17 to October 2, ending on the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Planned events include blood donation drives, cleanliness campaigns, health check-ups, sports events, and the ‘Namo Yuva Run’ across 75 cities with over 10,000 participants in each.
