A shocking incident took place in Mumbai’s Malad on Wednesday night when a 34-year-old businessman was killed outside a local bar.
Police said the victim, identified as Bhanushali, was drunk and arguing with the bar staff because they refused to serve him food. While he was shouting at them, a group of men nearby thought he was abusing them. They too were drunk and took offense.
One of the men, identified as Makhwana, confronted Bhanushali and asked him to step outside. He then returned with five others. The group allegedly pushed away Bhanushali’s friends and attacked him.
According to police, Makhwana smashed a beer bottle on Bhanushali’s head, while another man stabbed him several times. The assault left him seriously injured, and he died shortly after.
A case has been registered against all six men under charges of murder, rioting, unlawful assembly, and provocation with intent to cause violence. So far, police have arrested Makhwana, while the other five accused are still on the run. A manhunt is underway to catch them.
The brutal attack has shocked the local community, with many questioning how a simple misunderstanding could spiral into such deadly violence.
