He took some time off to speak with Sanjay Singh, political editor, Firstpost on a variety of issues ranging from the day's politics, the elections, the Rahul Gandhi-Akhilesh Yadav combo, the controversy over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'raincoat' remark at Manmohan Singh, his relations with Modi and his own prospects (in case BJP wins in Uttar Pradesh) of returning to state politics and being at the helm to take up the chief ministerial post yet again, 15 years after he relinquished this post to move to national politics.
