Chenani-Nashri tunnel closed due to technical drawback

JAMMU:The Chenani-Nashri Tunnel on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway was on Thursday closed as a technical snag, leading to long traffic jams on the key route.


"Traffic was diverted through Patnitop-Batote link today because the tunnel was closed",said a traffic Department officer


The 9.2-km-long state of the art tunnel was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 2.
