Saina Nehwal to skip IOC's Athletes' Commission meeting
KOLKATA: Saina Nehwal was unable to attend the international Olympic Committee's(IOC)Athletes Commission meeting scheduled to take place on july 9 in Geneva,her father Harvir singh said on wednesday.
Saina, ranked 10th in the world and second best in India after P.V. Sindhu who is four notches above her, will be taking part in the Badminton World Championships to be held in Glasgow from August 21-27.
"Saina won't be able to attend the meeting because of her very busy schedule. She has training," said Harvir.
The Athletes' Commission is controlled by American ice hockey Olympian Angela Ruggiero and comprises nine vice-presidents and 10 other members.
