Hyderabad Feb 15 : Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who had travelled to Kota in Rajasthan for promoting his last release Raees, may soon discover that it was not a great idea to travel by train for promoting his film.Acting on a complaint by a vendor at Kota Railway station, Khan has been booked for allegedly “rioting” and “damaging” railway property during the promotion of his film at the station, a Government Railway Police official said.
In his complaint, Vikram Singh alleged that on January 23, when Khan arrived at Kota railway station for the promotion of Raees, a ruckus was created by his fans. Singh also alleged that Khan, while standing at the gate of the coach of August Kranti Rajdhani Express train, threw something at the public and they rushed to grab it, causing a melee, in which his trolley overturned and he also suffered injuries. Following this, a case was registered against Shah Rukh Khan under sections 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of Rs. 50), 120(b) (criminal conspiracy), 147 (rioting), 149 (every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed) and 160 (committing affray) of IPC.Khan had essayed the role of a bootlegger from Gujarat in Raees, which also starred Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
