Kerala with Surging Omicron Cases
The Kerala Health Department confirmed 59 more Omicron cases in Kerala. Out of 59 confirmed cases today- 42 from low-risk countries, 5 from high-risk countries and 9 through contact, and 3 from other states; total Omicron tally 480.
India reported 2,47,417 new COVID cases (27% higher than yesterday) and 84,825 recoveries in the last 24 hours. Active case stands at 11,17,531 with Daily positivity rate at 13.11%. The Omicron tally reached 5,488 in the country.
