Surging Omicron Variant.. Even Inmates of Delhi Jails Suffering from Corona

Corona and omicron cases are surging in the country. The Omicron variant cases have reached 4,461. 1,711 victims have recovered from Omicron.

Corona cases are increasing day by day. 1,68,063 new corona cases have been registered. In the last 24 hours, 277 people have died from the virus. There are currently 8,21,446 active cases in the country. The positivity rate was 10.64 percent. 4,84,213 have lost their lives due to corona so far.

Corona is also stirring in Delhi jails. Corona infected 66 inmates and 48 staff at the Delhi Jail. Tihar Jail has 42 inmates and 34 staff members suffering from corona. Corona tested positive for 24 inmates and 8 staff at Mandoli Prison. Six staff members of Rohini Jail have been infected with the virus.
