The human body needs a lot of water. Doctors say that water is vital and very good for health. It is recommended to drink seven to eight glasses of water a day. Drinking enough water helps us to digest the food we eat faster but also helps in flushing out the waste products that have accumulated in our body. If you have the urge to drink water repeatedly it means there are some internal problems in your body. This can have fatal consequences later on. So people who drink water frequently with such high thirst have certain types of diseases.

Why do we drink more water than necessary..

Inadequate blood levels
Feeling thirsty repeatedly may indicate less blood in the body.  We feel equally thirsty even when the head is dizzy. Thirst quenchers in the case of tiredness and weakness. Hypercalcemia is caused by excessive thirst. Hypercalcemia is when the calcium in the blood exceeds the requirement.

Diabetics
Drinking water over and over again may be a diabetic problem.  So drink plenty of water. People who drink water frequently are less likely to develop diabetes. People who are thirsty more than they need to be are more likely to develop diabetes in the future.

Indigestion
Sometimes high salt foods are not easily digested. At such times a large amount of water is required to digest the food. The body needs more water to digest abundant food. This causes a lack of water in the body which leads to excessive thirst. That is why we drink excessive amounts of water. However, this is temporary.

Excess Sweat
Excessive sweating occurs when our body needs water. You need to drink water to balance body temperature. And when most people hear something confusing or disturbing, the whole mouth goes dry.  Thus when you drink more than enough water for the body it becomes clear that you are suffering from diabetes, digestive problem or any other anxiety and hence drinking water.

Dehydration
Dehydration occurs when the body begins to sweat more. In such a situation the body needs more water to balance the temperature. Similarly oily foods also quench thirst. There is nothing to worry about in this case either.
Apart from these, if you are drinking a lot of water even during normal times, get tested immediately by a doctor and seek treatment if necessary.
