Major dies in accident on Vaishno Devi track
Jammu, June 8 : An Indian Army Major died on Thursday after falling from a pony while going to the Mata Vaishno Devi temple in Jammu and Kashmir.
Police said Major Pardeep Singh Chauhan, posted in Udhampur, died on the Mata Vaishno Devi track in Reasi district. "He was declared dead at a dispensary where he was rushed for treatment," a police officer said.
Son of a Brigadier, the 36-year-old Major belonged to Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh.
