Hyderabad Feb 11 : Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan has made an impressive speech at a meet and greet event in New Hampshire. Pawan received rousing reception at the conference and his speech saw whistles, claps throughout from the cheering crowd.
Pawan, who spoke in chaste Telugu, talked about his foray into politics and challenges he faced. "When I started CPF (Common Man Protection Force) or entered into politics, so many have threatened me in so many ways that I'd be killed. Even I've received many letters, mails abusing me. I never bothered. Had I not want to be in politics, why would I take these risks? I'd have sit happily at home and would be roaming Holywood studios, theme parks."
"Do I fear for all these threats? If I fear for them, would I come this far? I do have care but I never have fear. I speak carefully, think one to ten times before speaking on issues, but if I take a decision, I stick to it no matter what consequences arise and I speak on the issue. It's better to die once rather than dying everyday. So, that's why I don't have fear," said Pawan Kalyan in a stentorian speech.
Quoting John F Kennedy's famous line 'Ask not what your country has done for you. Ask what you have done for your country', Pawan said he can't sit calm if he gets to know about injustice. He said he hates caste politics. Pawan said he is interested in observing, reading society. Pawan reiterated that he was never comfortable acting in films.
