Chennai, June 3: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Venugopalan said in 2018 that the state will have a meeting of the Second World Investors. Palaiswamy said. Speaking at the third Southern Regional Conference of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) here, Palaniswami announced the next Global Investors Meet (GIM).
The first GIM was held in 2015. He said out of the 98 Memorandum of Understanding signed during the first GIM involving an investment of Rs 2.42 lakh crore, 61 projects were under various stages of implementation involving an investment of Rs 62,738 crore. The state government will take the economy to the next level, set up infrastructure, simplify the rules for setting up industries, and take the priority for human resource development by the state government.
