The crucial Indian equity indices are high in the opening session
Mumbai, June 2: The crucial Indian equity market indices started on Friday in world markets. The 30-scrip Sensex sensitive index (Sensex) rose by 146.20 points or 0.47 per cent in the opening session. The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 51.30 points or 0.53 per cent higher at 9,667.40 points.
The BSE Sensex, which opened at 31,205.37 points, was trading at 31,283.79 points (at 9.17 a.m.) in the early session, higher 146.20 points or 0.47 per cent from the previous day's close at 31,137.59 points. The Sensex touched a high of 31,332.56 points and a low of 31,190.40 points in the trade so far.
