Student drowns while taking selfie : Jharkhand
National | IANS | Published :Ranchi, Sep 25 : A Class 12 student drowned in a waterfall in Jharkhand on Monday after he slipped while taking a selfie, police said.
Harshit Pandey, a resident of Daltanganj, had gone to the Suggabandh waterfall in Latehar district along with six friends, according to police.
Harshit and three more boys went in the fall to take a bath. Harshit was taking selfie on a elevated portion of the waterfall when he lost balance and fell in the water and drowned. His friends somehow managed to fish out his body, police said.
Two months ago, two youths had drowned in Ranchi while taking selfie in a waterfall.
