New Delhi, July 16 :  India greats Rahul Dravid and Zaheer Khan were not treated properly during the ongoing controversy over the selection of batting and bowling coaches for the national cricket team, former Committee of Administrators (CoA) member Ramachandra Guha said on Sunday.
"The shameful treatment of Anil Kumble has now been compounded by the cavalier treatment of Zaheer Khan and Rahul Dravid," he said.
"Kumble, Dravid and Zaheer were true greats of the game who gave it all on the field. They did not deserve this public humiliation," Guha wrote on his official Twitter handle.
Guha, who recently resigned from the committee, spoke close on the heels of the CoA not specifying whether Dravid and Khan were appointed as batting and bowling consultants respectively for overseas tours, as the BCCI had said via a press release. Ravi Shastri's role as head coach was approved on Saturday.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) formed a four-member committee on Saturday to take a call on the appointment of assistant coaches for the national cricket team.
The committee comprises BCCI acting President C.K. Khanna, acting Secretary Amitabh Choudhary and Committee of Administrators (CoA) member Diana Edulji with board CEO Rahul Johri as the convener.
